Summer is full of picnics and BBQs and Memorial Day and 4th of July parties and potlucks and neighborhood block parties. There's no need to starve if you follow the Whole30 protocol. If you are looking to cook healthier recipes for your summer entertaining, these Whole30 approved appetizers, salads, and main dishes will make you a star.

We’ll begin by assuming you’ve done all of your research and know exactly what you’re getting into and all of the “rules” of the Whole30 diet. That you are here because already know the ins and outs and are looking for trusted recipes that you can make.

That being said, please note the following:

1. All recipes have been thoroughly researched, vetted, and cross-checked against the official Whole30 approved and compliant foods. However… any time you are following a specific nutrition protocol, ALWAYS check the ingredients for yourself.

2. There are a few recipes (one of mine included) that specifically calls out optional ingredients to remove to be Whole30 compliant.

3. Even if the recipe title or description does not say Whole30, the ingredients are what we looked at to make the determination.

4. All recipes are obviously gluten-free, and there are plenty of vegan options as well.

Are you ready for summer entertaining?

I was never a fan of beets. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania, where pickled eggs and beets were a huge thing, and other than hogmaw, I don't think there was a food that grossed me out more. Ok, maybe liver and onions. But you get the point. So enter adulthood and healthy eating and beets were never on my radar. Until these oven baked beet chips came into my life.
