When I made the big jump to gluten free, dairy free and whatever else free, I made it my life’s mission to recreate my favorite treats to enjoy. And oh boy do I love my sweets! These are all of my favorites, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

And remember… just because it’s gluten free and whatever free doesn’t mean it’s healthy. Some of these recipes are legit healthy for you. But some also have plenty of sugar in them. It is the holidays after all. So just go easy. Promise me. It’s not worth losing all of the progress you’ve made over a few seconds of a few extra cookies.

My Great Aunt Dot was the baker in the family.  Before she passed, I made sure that she passed down all of her family favorite recipes to me.  Her Buckeyes were always a special treat.  If you don’t know what a Buckeye is… it’s like a chocolate and peanut butter ball or truffle.  After eliminating pretty much everything from my diet, I finally found a way to make her Buckeyes... with... wait for it... gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, and peanut-free.  And they still taste surprisingly the same!

Ice Cream

Is there anyone else who loves gingerbread as much as I do? And gingerbread + ice cream... be still my beating heart. Unfortunately, due to health issues, I can no longer eat normal dairy ice cream. And coconut milk, which is the standard dairy substitute, makes me sick. Fear not, I found a way to enjoy this delicious holiday treat! Shhhh... don't tell anyone - it's healthy too!
