Drink Water

On average, drink half of your body weight in ounces. More if you exercise and drink a lot of caffeine and/or alcohol. Water keeps your entire system functioning properly and hydrates your skin.

 

Eat Healthy & Exercise

As the old saying goes, “you are what you eat.” Your skin will reflect your dietary choices. Decrease the sugar and starches, and increase the amount of fruits, veggies, and Omega-3 fatty acids. Get moving. Participate in your favorite fun-sweaty-activity whether it’s walking, running, Zumba, yoga, or even shoveling snow. Take your workout indoors if the weather doesn’t permit.

 

Proper Skin Care

Keep your skin care products clean and simple and look for toxic-free options. Many skin care products contain chemicals that actually have an adverse affect on the skin (and many are endocrine disruptors – yikes!).  Look for products which are free of color, fragrance, oxybenzone, DEA, parabens, dioxin, PEG, and phthalates.
