What are Parasites?
I like the Oxford Dictionary’s definition of parasite the best, “An organism that lives in or on an organism of another species (its host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other’s expense.” The word parasite has it’s origins in Mid 16th century via Latin from Greek parasitos – a person eating at another’s table. Para = alongside and Sitos = food.
Parasites aren’t just found in third-world countries, millions are already infected in industrialized countries–they’re far more common than you realize and could be silently hampering your health. According to a 2014 press release by the Centers for Disease Control, “Most people think parasitic diseases occur in poor and developing countries, or are infections they might pick up on a trip to a foreign country. However, parasitic infections also occur in the United States, and in some cases affect millions of people. Often they can go unnoticed, with few symptoms. But many times the infections cause serious illnesses, including seizures, blindness, pregnancy complications, heart failure, and even death. Anyone—regardless of race or economic status—can become infected.” According to Natural News, approximately 50% of Americans suffer from parasites. Fortunately, with awareness and appropriate care, parasites can be prevented and treated, once detected.
How Do You Get Parasites in the First Place?
Common thought is that you have to travel to a third world country in order to get a parasite. There are many places you can contract a parasite including eating fruits, vegetables, and meat, drinking water, from your pets, swimming in a lake, or even touching an object after someone infected with a parasite touched it.
My Journey with Parasites

Talk about feeling exposed! You can read all about my journey (and watch the video) –> What a Parasite Cleanse is REALLY Like.
I also go into great detail about my parasite detox protocol with Microbe Formulas and how I eliminated the parasites.
