When you think Yoga, do you think about nimble bodies stretching in unison in the quest for zen? Or do you think about all of the germs on your yoga mat? Sorry my friends, those germs are there. But don’t fret… this easy yoga mat cleaner DIY will help to keep your mat fresh and clean!
How Dirty is My Yoga Mat?
You place your yoga mat on the floor of the studio. Then you sweat on it. It gets as much use as your favorite yoga clothes, but you wash them after each session, right? The bacteria on your mat can survive several hours to even several days. Viruses can last several weeks. Think skin infections, athlete’s foot, toenail fungus, even herpes, staph, and strep. How’s that for zen?
This yoga mat cleaner is super easy to make. Spray it on your mat before and/or after each session and help keep the germs at bay.
