We’ve all been there. You try to clean your shower, but the grout is still dirty and that small spot of mildew just won’t go away. This super simple shower cleaner DIY will help to keep your shower sparkling clean.
I use all-natural cleaning products throughout our home. But nothing was working on those stubborn grout and mildew stains. I tried several homemade versions. They worked, but not how I wanted. Something was missing. Then I saw a similar recipe from Dr. Eric Z. I found the missing product – MyGreenFills Oxy Boost Brightener. It was the game-changer.
Before I get into the DIY… whatever you do, don’t use vinegar with this recipe. It will… um… explode. Not that I know from personal experience or anything.
Shower Cleaner DIY
Ingredients
Castile Soap – 1 TBSP
MyGreenFills OxyBoost Brightener – 1 TBSP
Lemon Essential Oil – 20 drops
Thieves Essential Oil – 10 drops
Tee Tree Essential Oil – 10 drops
Scrub Daddy (for cleaning and scrubbing)
DIY
Add hot water to 1/4 of the container.
Add the OxyBoost.
Shake gently to dissolve.
Add the remainder of the ingredients.
Fill the container with water with about one inch left at the top.
Let the container sit without the top on. It needs to breathe and let the ingredients work their chemistry.
After about an hour, put the top on.
When ready to use, give it one gentle shake to emulsify the oils.
Best when used with a Scrub Daddy.
