I saw this recipe over at Primal Palate, and I knew immediately it would be a keeper. I had to make a few changes to accommodate my own food challenges and also make it vegan.
It tasted so good, I immediately turned around and made another batch. And then another one. And wondered where those couple of extra pounds came from. Healthy doesn’t mean calorie free my friends. Just sayin.
You can mix up your own pumpkin pie spice mix, but my favorite is from Primal Palate. It is hands down the best one I’ve ever tried. I went the semi-homemade route and topped them with Dollop (Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan, Gluten Free, Soy Free) Sea Salt Caramel Gourmet Frosting. The remainder of the ingredients I always try and purchase organic from Thrive Market.
Try to use organic pumpkin puree if you can. We pull our pumpkins out of our garden.
