When I started using Essential Oils, I only had a few. They sat on top of a shelf and didn’t take up much space.  Then as my Essential Collection grew, I tried several different organization techniques.  They worked for a minute, but the more I use the EO’s, the more I love them, the more I collect, and I needed a permanent organizational solution.

I knew that I wanted to use a vintage Coca Cola crate, so it was only a matter of time til I found one.  A few years ago, Hubby and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary with a little road trip and weekend getaway.  All of our trips are planned around how many antique stores we can hit, so this item was certainly on my list to look for.  When we stopped at one of our favorite antique malls in Verona, I went right to the vendor I wanted to support and had a choice of crates to pick from. This one spoke to me!

The Essential Oils are organized alphabetically of course, because that is how I roll. The crate nooks are a tiny bit small to hold the larger bottles vertically, so the smaller ones stand upright, and the larger ones are horizontal.  There are no words to describe how happy I am with the new EO organization!  Maybe it’s all of the good scents that is making me happy.  Hummmm…..

Here is a picture of the entire space.  My new desk area is still a work in progress, but when you decorate with vintage finds, it doesn’t happen overnight.  I love decorating the reclaimed wood shelf with more vintage finds, including this vintage mustard tin with a cactus succulent.

The area is painted blue (I can’t remember the exact color) and I use a lot of red for accents.  I was originally thinking of getting the traditional red Coca Cola crate, but thought that the yellow would mix it up a bit.

It’s quick and easy access to my oils when I need them, and an adorable vintage display in a prominent place in our home.
