We recently took a family vacation to Niagara Falls, Canada. I went many years ago in band camp. This was Hubby’s and Stepson’s first time there. Enjoy the beauty and fury.
First are the falls on the American side. Not as big, but still very magnificent.
The hotel upgraded our room at no cost and without us asking. SCORE! We stayed on the 32nd floor and this was the view from our room. When we first walked in, Stepson was mesmorized by the view and didn’t leave the window for five minutes.
There are several different tour options to enjoy the falls. We went on the Journey Behind the Falls tour. It was pretty cool to get up close and personal to the falls, but honestly, not worth the money. The under the falls was claustrophobic and disappointing that all you get to see is a peephole behind the falls. We did catch the IMAX movie about Daredevils and that was very much worth the money.
This is what I mean by up close and personal.
Of course we had to take the Hornblower Boat Cruise. It’s a must. It was actually pretty funny to watch everyone run to the front of the boat with their cameras out as we neared the falls… and then when the heavy “rain” came… watching everyone retreat to under the boat to “safety.” Self included.
The Shortest Falls Video in the World
I posted a very short video if you want to watch.
