Yes, you can mix modern design with mid-century modern! Today’s tablescape is one example how…
When my Auntie June passed of ALS a couple years ago, I inherited a few of her linens and glassware. It was a very special inheritance, because I have such fond memories as a child eating dinner around her glass dining room table. For a kid, a glass dining room table was the epitome of elegance! Today’s tablescape is to honor her and her memories. And to mix modern with MCM.
Anyone who has been a follower here for more than a minute knows that I have a little obsession for Kate Spade. I picked up these plates at One Kings Lane, but they have a Kate Spade vibe to them. The blue and white runner is from Auntie June.
The wine glasses are from Auntie June’s collection as well. I love a crisp white and blue tablescape in January. It sets the season without being too overkill.
I am still learning my new camera, and am having a lot of fun playing around with taking pictures of tablescapes. The pictures will get better, I promise!
Love, hugs, and mixing up the tablescape love.
