Are you looking for a way to escape to the tropics while being stuck at home? A little something to treat yourself? This margarita sugar scrub is a decadent indulgence. The DIY uses ingredients you already have in your pantry, and only takes a minute to make. Here’s how…
Something this luxurious and scrumptious shouldn’t be this easy to make. You can make one for yourself and one to give as a present. Or two. Or three.
The DIY
Ingredients:
I always try to buy organic when possible. But no worries if you have the regular items!
Sea Salt
Tequila (optional)
Directions:
The amount of the ingredients is going to depend on the size of the container. Fill the container with sugar – that is the amount of sugar to use (genius, I know right!).
For a smaller container, use 2 TBSP coconut oil. For a larger container, add 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup if it is very large.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt the coconut oil (15-30 seconds).
Let cool for a minute or two.
Combine sugar, a few TBSP sea salt, coconut oil, and lime essential oil. Add 1/2 tsp of tequila if you wish but no worries if not! Always be sure to use a glass container when working with essential oils.
Use 10-15 drops of essential oil for a smaller container, 20-30 for a larger one.
That’s it! Pour a hot bath and take yourself away to the tropics!
The cells on your skin regularly shed and a sugar scrub will help to slough off dead cells and improve your skin’s appearance. It helps to increase circulation and stimulate the lymph nodes.

While this sugar scrub is an excellent way to exfoliate your feet, be careful using it while standing in the shower, as your feet will become slippery.

Hi Holly! I’m finding that the Facebook share option isn’t working for your articles. I can share to FB if I Pin it first and then share the link to the Pin, but it’s not working for direct repost to FB (I also tried copying/pasting to FB but got the same “page not found” msg). Just a heads up! Hugs back to you. 🙂 Heather
