Giving your linens an aromatic spray before bedtime is a luxury indulgence that doesn’t have to be expensive or toxic. Today’s DIY will show you how you can make your own lavender linen spray. It’s quick, easy, and very inexpensive, yet you will think you are sleeping at the Four Seasons!
Ingredients and Directions
The ingredients are pretty basic:
- Distilled or filtered water (not tap)
- Lavender Essential Oil
- Glass atomizer or spray bottle
Fill the atomizer/spray bottle almost to the top with bottled or distilled water. Add 5-10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil until it achieves the strength of your desired fragrance. Screw the lid back on the bottle and shake to mix. You will want to give it a few shakes each time before using. Spray on your sheets at night before bedtime for a peaceful lavender slumber.

Everything is Better with Mod Podge
If you want to jazz up your bottle, you can cut out a picture of some lavender, cut it to size, and Mod Podge it onto the bottle.
We have a night time ritual in our home that we try and stick to most nights. At 7:00, electronics are off and we enjoy family time together watching a favorite TV show or movie. I make some chamomile tea and while it’s steeping, I change into my pajamas and spray the sheets.
I recently planted some lavender in the garden, and the scent is intoxicating!
The use of the lavender Essential Oils makes the scent so full and rich. Ahhh…. bedtime… sleep is calling my name!
