Is organizing all of the iPhones and iPads in your house like herding cats? Today’s yard sale upcycle will take a sad, old mail sorter and give it a new life as an iPhone holder. This DIY is something anyone can do and only took about 5-10 minutes (not including drying time). You have to see the end result!
This is what it started as – your ordinary mail/bill sorter that everyone used back in the day. I love yard sale and estate sale finds! The second I saw this, I knew exactly what it’s new life would be.
It didn’t need anything fancy, just a little love. First, it got a few coats of white spray paint. And then I used an adhesive stencil to paint our family initial.
The “B” was lonely, so I used some painters tape and marked off a stripe to paint below it. A little bit bled through, but I knew that if I tried to fix it with white paint, it either wouldn’t match or I would then bleed the white into the blue stripe. Sometimes in life you have to say whatevs and call it done.
This is it. Super simple! Our kitchen is full of awkward spaces, and this fits in perfectly on the shelf at the end of the counter.
It fits all five of our iPhones and iPads. The power strip is below, so it’s easy to plug everyone in to charge.
Can you guess which devices are mine, Hubby’s or Stepson’s?
