How bad is it that I can’t sew? I mean, seriously… I have a tailor, a Hubby, and a Steve who all take care of any sewing I would need. I am in complete awe at anyone who can sew, as it’s a great skill to have to be able to fix ripped items or sew your own curtains or hem your own pants. And super frugal – HELLO!
I’ve been seeing these sweater pillows all over the blogesphere and Pinterest. I’m not sure why or where Hubby picked up this old, holey sweater, but when he gave it to me, I knew exactly what I was going to do with it.
Here’s what I used – yarn and a pillow form. I ended up having to return it 3 times to get the right size. I ended up with a 20×20. Like I said… I don’t sew and things like how to measure properly were totally lost on me.
I channeled 8th grade Home Economics class. This is the only other sewing (actually knitting) project I’ve ever done. In 8th grade.
Ok, back to the pillow. First, I cut off the sleeves, and sewed them closed.
I liked the cuffed collar so I kept it, but sewed it closed too. But now I’m thinking of maybe cutting it off and making it more square. Hummmm……
Sew…. what do you think?
Love, hugs, and resting comfortably.
