Who doesn’t love Godiva chocolate on Valentines Day?!? This is the best Godiva Chocolate Truffle recipe out there. Trust me.
These truffles are one of the favorites at my Peace, Love, and Chocolate party. They are perfect for a romantic Valentines dinner, or… well… pretty much any day of the year.
By adding just a couple drops of coffee (prepared) and some Godiva liquor to the chocolate ganache, it brings an amazing depth of flavor. They taste professional. I’m not kidding.
They have also been tested and approved by my boys:
Stepson – “This isn’t kid chocolate. It’s adult chocolate. If you are an adult, you will really like these.”
Hubby – “Holy **#%$@*”
So yeah, that pretty much sums it up.
There are a million variations of this recipe, between the chocolate you can use for the ganache, the liquor you can use (or not), and the types of chocolate to use for the coating. This version is very simple and very traditional and it will sing many songs in your mouth. No need to go fancy here. Basic is best.

Well now that your husband is saving money by not buying Godiva truffles, he’ll owe you a romantic evening out for Valentine’s Day. I personally recommend berry picking, knowing how excited he was when he heard the suggestion for date night ideas.
Corrine,
I was going to buy Holly a nice expensive piece of jewelry but you are absolutely right. The best presents are not necessarily expensive. They are from the heart so……”Berry Picking” it is. I am sure Holly will thank you……… after the “Meltdown”.
Carter
LOL. Happy to help Carter! Of course if you’d like to go for the A+ instead of a mere passing grade, you may want to do both. 🙂
I never knew there was such a thing as Godiva liquor! I will have to go out and find some. I bet it tastes wonderful! These chocolates would be the perfect Valentine gift or anytime gift.
Hi Cynthia – I know, right?!? I actually was just recently introduced to it. You can certainly make the truffles without it, but a few drops the liquor gives it an extra depth to the flavor. Hugs, Holly

Holly, I’m not a coffee fan but I am a Godiva fan. Which will win out? One guess. Yes, chocolate, especially since stepson gives them his adult stamp of approval.
Hi Susan – Don’t be scared of the coffee. It’s such a small amount you can’t taste it. But it brings a lot of depth to the flavor. Yeah, Stepson had me cracking up when he said that. Hugs, Holly
These look so amazing thanks for sharing I am pinning for later
Hi Christine – Thanks so much for stopping by and pinning! Hugs, Holly

YUM! I would like to use a liqueur but these look amazing. I love the pretty pink too.
Hi Sami – They can be made with or without the liquor or coffee, it’s that adding both of these elements gives it such depth of flavor. But they are still delish with or without! Hugs, Holly
