Fall means the leaves are changing. Fall is walking out into the crisp air. Fall is wearing boots and a sweater. And for today’s fall vignette, Fall is a cozy blanket and a fire. Grab a cup of cocoa and snuggle up with the Bertones!
There was no debate on this fire pit – we needed a portable one to fit our lifestyle. We love it, and it gets used all year round. But in the fall… on a chilly night…. oh how much fun to sit around the fire… or as Hubby calls it… Joe TV.
I love it when a plan comes together. As Hubby was building the fire, and I was bringing everything outside for the photo shoot, one of Hubby’s friends (and neighbor) showed up at the door. Who happens to be a professional photographer. I don’t think I even asked… I was like… oh you are helping me!!!!! I’m still learning how to operate my big girl camera, so it was awesome to have some real-time advice.
If you have been a reader of mine for awhile, you may remember the story behind this bench. It was my Grandfather’s and had been sitting outside at my parent’s house for years, rotting away. My Father rebuilt it for us so we could have a piece of family history.
Couldn’t you stay out here forever? You can snuggle up with this adorable plaid blanket which was one of those deals of the day from Jane. Love that store! Doesn’t it just complete this adorable fireside fall vignette?

we aren’t allowed to have fire pits living in our apartment, but we do have outdoor fireplaces which we can chill by during the fall – excited to do that! You’re lucky you have your own!
Hi Tianna – Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and share! Happy fall to you! Hugs, Holly
Love it! You got some great photos! All of a sudden I have the urge to wrap up in a blanket and roast some marshmallows.
I am co-hosting the #HomeMattersParty link party this month and would love to have you stop by for a visit. The door is open through Monday night. http://alaynascreations.co/2015/09/04/home-matters-linky-party-53/
Hi Alayna – Thank you for your kind words and kind invitation! I’ll have to stop by and check it out. I’m so ready to wrap up in a blanket… as soon as the temperature drops below 90 degrees! Hugs, Holly
Wow! It looks so cozy.
We have a small veranda, but it bothers me that we have no privacy at all. 🙁
I feel like stopping by, Holly. 😉

Hi Debbie – The first thing we did when we moved was put up the fence. Our neighbors call it the bunker if that gives you any indication of how it looks! Happy fall to you! Hugs, Holly
One of my favorite things about fall is spending cool evenings around an outdoor fire, covered up in a blanket for warmth. (And roasting marshmallows for s’mores, of course). Thanks for sharing!
Hi Ann – Oooooh yes I am totally with you on that one! Thank you so much for stopping by to say hello and I hope to see you again soon! Hugs, Holly
