This festive DharmaRita cocktail is perfect for Cinco de Mayo or any summer soiree. For those of us who can’t or won’t drink for whatever reason, it’s a great idea to have some mocktails on hand. And if the mocktail has a fun name – all the better! This mocktail’s name is DharmaRita. Enjoy the festivities!
I remember back in my single days, I would love to go out to happy hour with my girlfriends and enjoy a strawberry margarita. Nowadays, not so much. Between cancer and autoimmune disease, I don’t drink at all anymore. But sometimes you need a festive cocktail. With a fun name.
I called this mocktail DharmaRita. Dharma is an ancient Sanskrit word found in Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain teachings that is often used to describe “the right way of living” or “one’s true life path.” Dharma is your purpose in life. It incorporates ideas such as patience, forgiveness, sanctity, knowledge, truthfulness, and the absence of anger. Good name, eh?
