Mamma’s kitchen command center is the family’s ultimate organization center. Let’s take a tour, shall we?
When we first moved into the Homestead, this is how the command center looked. After four coats of paint, the brown transformed into a much brighter white. Moonlight White, I believe.
Back to modern day. Mamma’s command center is the organization hub for… well… pretty much everything we do to function as a family and business:
- Mamma’s laptop
- Outgoing mail
- Family binder
- Business binder
- Bill paying
- Filing box for Pink Fortitude, LLC
- Binders for our rental properties
- Coupon binder
- Lunch boxes
- Mamma’s wine (much needed after a busy day!)
This space is my daily go-to. It houses the Family Binder, Pink Fortitude, LLC business binder, a “to do” and “to file” box, and a bill paying station.
I used the space above the command center for extra storage. The baskets hold various baking items. The space also holds a large salad bowl and a Le Creuset Dutch Oven.
I tried to keep the side shelves as more decorative with an Anthropologie bowl, picture, and similar style vase. Remember the Anthropologie DIY mailing center I made awhile back to look like the design on the bowl?
To keep the paper process as simple as humanly possible in our house, this is my giant inbox. Anything that comes into the house goes here first, whether it’s mail or bills or receipts or anything of the like from any member of the family. I then process all incoming items from this one box.
The command center really is the nerve center of the house. I love that it’s in the kitchen so I can handle everything while cooking or overseeing homework.
A cup of coffee in my favorite mug gets me going in the morning. All ready to write and blog and take on the day!
One last look of the command center with a great photo to pin!
