What is as big as an eco-friendly breadbox DIY?  Um… an eco-friendly breadbox DIY!  It’s a yard sale rescue painted with environmentally safe paint. The transformation is pretty cool!

This is a sponsored post by Serendipity House. All opinions are mine.

Why was I so excited to partner with Serendipity House?  Because the paints are vegan and all-natural, and it’s a chance to support another small business owner. (Queue the happy dance). While this DIY is the size of a breadbox, I have some vintage furniture pieces that have been in my family forever and are in need of some restoration and love. I can’t wait to try some more of their paints and products!

The Before

This is the yard sale rescue.  BOOOO-RING!!!!!

These are the L’Essentiel Botanics paints that I used. I was tempted to try a stencil but decided it would be easier to just paint it.

I layered the white paint with streaks of gray, and the gray paint with streaks of white.

The Paints

Serendipity House is a retailer for L’Essentiel Botanics paint products and skincare, along with Olde Barn Vintage Milk Paint and Unicorn SPiT Gel Stain and Glaze. While the paints are made in Australia, they are sold through Serendipity House in New Hampshire.

The paints are loaded with clays, chalks, minerals and pigments. These paints are vegan (other than the beeswax), all-natural, environmentally safe, and come in biodegradable containers. They can be used on pretty much anything from furniture to small DIY’s.

They go on super smooth, have a clean scent (not your typical toxic paint smell), and a little goes a long way!

The After

I outlined the breadbox in Steel, which gives it more of a pop, and a little more of a Primitive vibe to it.

I can’t wait to use these paints on some more projects!
