How much fun is this patriotic American flag fruit skewer to serve at your Memorial Day or 4th of July party! These red, white, and blue flag kabobs are super cute and easy to make and sure to win over your crowd. They are also great for any kind of military or Veteran’s events!
We’re a military family and every year we host our Patriot’s Palooza party on Memorial Day weekend. It’s like 75 people in our back yard enjoying burgers and beer and kids running around and welcoming summer and honoring our fallen. It is hands down one of my favorite days of the year! For many, those big patriotic parties are more for the 4th of July and this adorable American flag fruit skewer is sure to please a crowd! It’s easy to make and takes maybe 10 minutes at the most. The kids can even help!
American Flag Fruit Skewer Ingredients
11 Wooden Skewers
49 Mini Marshmallows (we love Dandies Vegan Marshmallows!)
47 Red Raspberries
It may look a little complicated to make this American flag fruit skewer, but follow the directions, and let the photo guide you!
For the first 4 skewers, you want to alternate 4 marshmallows with 3 blueberries, with the marshmallows at the top. And then alternate marshmallows and raspberries at the bottom.
For the other 7 skewers, start with the raspberries at the top and alternate with the marshmallows – 5 raspberries and 4 marshmallows.
Always make sure your wood skewers don’t have any splinters.
And PS – it’s ok to eat the mess-ups!
WARNING – NEVER put the skewer in your mouth or try to eat off the skewer. Safety first!
